Aim of this Course / Target GroupDon’t just learn to fly a drone; learn to fly it well, and gain the certification required to fly for commercial benefit. Designed to offer you your Remote Pilot License (RePL) and your Aeronautical Radio Operator Certificate (AROC), our five day Remote Piloted Aircraft System (RPAS) training course is the perfect course to kick-start your rewarding career as a an RPA Pilot. We teach you everything you need to know to become a successful, CASA licenced RPA Pilot.
Course ContentYou will learn practical flying skills as well as operational planning skills that will place you a cut above the average pilot. In aviation, knowledge is everything; Australian Training Management prepares you for the challenges that lie ahead. Our robust Remote Pilot training course covers the required theory and a wide range of practical skills and applications that provide you with the platform from which to launch your aviation career. You will learn about and use RPAS info-technology and complete the required training in order to sit and attain your Aeronautical Radio Operator Certificate.

Assessment MethodKnowledge based questions, AROC testing, RPAS activities and a practical flight test.
There are no course pre-requisites, however you will need to have an ARN (Aviation Reference Number) issued by CASA before the course; so we can process your Remote Pilot licence. If you do not have an ARN, you can apply for one here:
Academic Award & Recognition
Upon successful course completion, CASA will issue participants with their accredited Remote Pilot Licence (RePL) and with their Aeronautical Radio Operator Certificate (Licence). As an RTO, we also aim to offer the AVI30316 Certificate III in Aviation – Remote Pilot (Visual Line of Sight), which will include some post-course RPAS flying activity and Pilot Logbook completion.
What To Wear
All course participants are required to wear appropriate attire; long sleeves and closed in shoes.
Morning Tea & Lunch
Feel free to grab a tea or coffee before the course starts and during the course breaks. All participants will be offered morning/ afternoon tea and lunch is provided. Persons with special dietary requirements should cater for their personal needs.
